Offering a warm, safe place in the winter.

Who We Are

We are a warming center offering help, healing, and hope.

From the beginning, our mission has been to provide a warm safe place during Michigan's frigid winter months. We believe we are all in this together, and it is our responsibility and privilege as a community to help our neighbors in need, regardless of who they are or how they became homeless. In everything we do, we strive to bring our guests the help, healing, and hope found in Jesus.

Share the Warmth has achieved this mission without state or federal funding through the amazing generosity and kindness of Hillsdale County! Together we will continue to help our homeless neighbors, and show other communities what can be accomplished when "Community" becomes a powerful word!

Safe, Compassionate Environment

We are here and would like to help anyone that is struggling.

Through the years we have met hundreds of people who are suffering from PTSD, manic depression, schizophrenia, addiction, and other emotional issues, due to some form of childhood trauma, and/or unfortunate life experiences.

Our guests are not "broken" or in need of fixing. They are wounded and in desperate need of healing and support. We have a number of resources available to aid our guests in getting the help they need, such as Lifeways, Segue, DHHS, Health Department, and Community Action Agency.

A strategic vision for the future:

We are exploring the possibilities of year-round and expanded services to meet the needs of those we serve.

We will never take for granted the churches, community organizations and clubs, the businesses, and individuals of Hillsdale County that God has provided to sustain our vision and meet every need. Share the Warmth along with our guests are so very thankful for the big-heartedness of this community that shines through every hot nutritious meal, warm safe bed, refreshing shower, and the caring smile and listening ear of the volunteers.
